| Day 1 : Arrival - Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport.
Meet and transfer to Hotel. After check-in hotel, lunch at a restaurant.
After lunch, start orientation tour of Yangon City including visits
to: Sule Pagoda - the heart of the Yangon City surrounded by various
colonial style buildings, Botataung Pagoda - the land mark of Yangon's
river-front, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image - a colossal reclining
Buddha Image, and end of the tour at Shwedagon Pagoda - over 2500
years old the world famous stupa. Dinner and your first night of
stay in capital of Myanmar.
Day 2 : Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer
to airport for departure to Bagan - the first capital of Myanmar
Empire, by early morning flight. On arrival at Nyaung Oo Airport,
meet and transfer to hotel for check-in. After check-in hotel, start
whole day sightseeing Bagan Tour by visiting: Nyaung Oo Market;
Shwezigon Pagoda - the prototype for later Myanmar pagodas built
by King Anawrahta - the Emperor of Myanmar First Dynasty, Ananda
Temple - King Kyansittha's masterpiece and the crowning achievement
of the early style temple of architecture; Kyansitha Umin; Thatbyinnyu
Temple - the highest building on the Bagan plain; and Htilominlo
Temple - the largest temples of Bagan. Lunch at a Restaurant. Evening
visit to Lacquer-ware Shop - to witness how to make a piece of Lacquer-ware
items, Manuha Temple - built by King Manuha - the defender of Mon
Kingdom, Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple - known for its wall paintings
depicting scenes from the Jataka, Dhamanyangyi Temple - the most
massive temple, and watch the world famous sunset view of Bagan
from Mingalar Zedi (or) Shwesandaw Pagoda. Dinner and puppet show
at a famous restaurant. Overnight in the city of first Myanmar Empire
- Bagan.
Day 3 : Bagan – Popa
After breakfast at hotel, drive to
Mount Popa - an extinct volcano which has similar shape to the Mt.
Fuji of Japan. It is also well know as a holy place for all the
nats (spirits) of Myanmar. If you wish to get up early in the morning
about 05:00 am, you will be able to catch the Sun Rise View of Bagan
or to watch or participate by yourself in early morning food offering
to 700 over monks near Kyaukpadaung. Sightseeing Mount Popa and
its lovely oasis environs. Lunch at Popa Mountain Resort Hotel where
one could see the panoramic view of the surrounding. After lunch,
will drive back to Bagan. On the way, stop at a roadside stall to
witness the local way of climbing up the palm tree the making the
jaggery. On arrival to Bagan, continue visit by horse cart riding
to Minanthu village and Payathonezu Pagoda to find out the workmanship
of 11-13 centuries plaster carvings and paintings. Evening, watch
the sunset from Shwesandaw Pagoda or Bupaya. Dinner will be at a
restaurant, and overnight in Bagan.
Day 4 : Bagan – Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, transfer
to airport. Fly to Mandalay - the center of Myanmar Arts & Crafts,
by morning flight. Meet and transfer to the hotel for check -in.
After check-in hotel, start sightseeing Mandalay by visiting: Mahamuni
Image - a bronze Buddha image cast during the lifetime of Buddha
himself, Tapestry works, Marble carving workshop, and Gold leaf
beating workshop. Lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, continue visit
to: Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite wood carvings,
Atumashi Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda - known as the world biggest
book; and finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the
sunset and the panoramic view of the city. Dinner at a restaurant.
Overnight in the last capital of Myanmar last dynasty - Mandalay.
Day 5 : Mandalay - Amarapura - Sagaing
- Mingun
After breakfast, visit Amarapura -
an ancient capital built on the advice of astrologers. Tour highlights
are: Wood carving & Bronze castling workshops; Mahagandaryone
Monastery - where one may observe the daily life of the monks studying
Buddha's scriptures; Silk weaving home cottage, and U Bein's Bridge
- 1.2 km long over 200 years old wooden bridge. Then, proceed to
Sagaing Hill - known as the center for meditation. Visit Kaungmudaw
Pagoda - an enormous dome shaped pagoda built in 16th century; Pottery
& Silver-smith workshops. After lunch, boat trip to Mingun where
the world largest ringing bell exist. Sightseeing Pahtodawgyi Unfinished
Pagoda, Mingun Bell and its surrounding village. Evening dinner
and overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.
Day 6 : Mandalay - Heho - Pindaya
- Kalaw
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer
to airport. Fly to Heho by morning flight. Meet at the airport and
drive up to Pindaya - a small quiet town famous for its millions
years old caves deposited with thousands of pagodas during the past
centuries. On the way, enjoy the scenic view of the mountains and
the countryside. Sightseeing Pindaya Cave, Traditional Shan paper
making and Umbrella making villages. Lunch at a restaurant in Pindaya.
Evening drive back to Kalaw - used to be a hill station during the
British occupation. Dinner and overnight in Kalaw. If the flight
from Mandalay is in the afternoon, will overnight in Pindaya instead
of driving back to Kalaw.
Day 7 : Kalaw - Inle - Nyaungshwe
After breakfast, drive to Inle Lake
- the second biggest lake in Myanmar famous for its unique leg-rowers.
Transfer to hotel for check-in. After check-in, transfer to the
jetty for sightseeing Inle by boat. Tour highlights include the
visits to: Floating Market (available to see on the market days
only which is hold on every five days); Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda - famous
for it five Buddha images enshrined in the temple; Inpawkhone Village
- famous for its silk weaving handlooms; Ngaphechaung Monastery
- well known because of jumping cats; Traditional ways of Fishing;
and Floating Gardens. Lunch will be at a floating restaurant. Dinner
at the hotel. Overnight in Nyaungshwe.
Day 8 : Nyaung Shwe - Heho - Yangon
After breakfast, drive up to Taunggyi
Market where one can see the various hill-tribes come down for shopping
and selling fresh vegetables and all sorts of regional products.
Drive back to Heho airport for departure back to Yangon by flight.
Later in the afternoon, arrive at Yangon airport and transfer to
hotel. Be at leisure. Evening, take a walk along China Town before
farewell dinner and cultural show at Karaweik Palace - a famous
restaurant located on the Royal Lake built in the style of Royal
Barge used by Myanmar's old days Kings. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 9 : Yangon - Departure
After breakfast, visit Strand Jetty
to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon's River.
Then, visit Gems Mart,Bogyoke Market - formerly known as Scott Market
and National Museum.Lunch at a restraunt. In the evening, transfer
to airport for departure.
