| Day 1 : Arrival - Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport.
Meet and transfer to Hotel. After check-in hotel, lunch at a restaurant.
After lunch, start orientation tour of Yangon City including visits
to: Sule Pagoda - the heart of the Yangon City surrounded by various
colonial style buildings, Botataung Pagoda - the land mark of Yangon's
river-front, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image - a colossal reclining
Buddha Image, and end of the tour at Shwedagon Pagoda - over 2500
years old the world famous stupa. Dinner and your first night of
stay in capital of Myanmar.
Day 2 : Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast at hotel, transfer
to airport. Fly to Mandalay - the center of Arts & Crafts, by
morning flight. After check in hotel, sightseeing Mandalay by visiting:
Mahamuni Image - a bronze Buddha image cast during the lifetime
of Buddha himself, Tapestry works, Marble carving workshop, Gold-leaf
Beating workshop,Bronze Casting and Wood carving workshop . Lunch
at a restaurant. Continue visit to: Shwenandaw Monastery - noted
for its exquisite wood carvings; Atumashi Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda
- known as the world biggest book; and finish the tour by visiting
Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the
city. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight in the last capital of Myanmar
last dynasty - Mandalay.
Day 3 : Mandalay - Amarapura - Sagaing
- Mingun
After breakfast, visit Amarapura -
an ancient capital built on the advice of astrologers. Tour highlights
are: Mahagandaryone Monastery - where one may observe the daily
life of the monks studying Buddha's scriptures; and U Bein's Bridge
- 1.2 km long over 200 years old wooden bridge, and Silk weaving
home cottage. Then, proceed to Sagaing Hill - known as the center
for meditation. Visit Kaungmudaw Pagoda - an enormous dome shaped
pagoda built in 16th century, Pottery Making village and Silver-smith
workshops. After lunch, boat trip to Mingun where the world largest
ringing bell exist. Sightseeing Mingun Bell, Pahtodawgyi Unfinished
Pagoda and surrounding village. Evening dinner and overnight at
the hotel in Mandalay.
Day 4 : Mandalay - Bagan
After breakfast, transfer to the jetty
for the boat trip to Bagan (0600-1630) with government Double Decker
ferry. Afternoon, arrive at Nyaung Oo Jetty. Meet and transfer to
the hotel in Bagan. Evening, watch the famous sunset view of Bagan
from Mingalar Zedi. Dinner and puppet show at one of the Bagan's
most famous restaurant. Overnight in the city of first Myanmar Empire
- Bagan.
Day 5 : Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing
Bagan by visiting: Nyaung Oo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda - the prototype
for later Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawrahta, Ananda Temple
- King Kyansitha's masterpiece and the crowning achievement of the
early style temple of architecture, Kyansitha Umin, Thatbyinnyu
Temple - the highest building on the Bagan plain, and Htilominlo
Temple - the largest temples of Bagan. Lunch at a Restaurant. Evening
visit to Lacquer-ware making home cottage, Manuha Temple, Myinkaba
Gubyaukgyi Temple - known for its wall paintings depicting scenes
from the Jataka, and Dhamanyangyi Temple - the most massive temple
in Bagan. Evening, sunset view of Bagan from Bupaya or Shwesandaw
Pagoda. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight in Bagan.
Day 6 : Bagan - Popa - Kalaw
After breakfast at hotel, drive to
Kalaw. On the way, visit Mount. Popa - an extinct volcano known
as the place for 37 nats (spirits). Sightseeing Mount Popa and environs.
Lunch at a restaurant in Meikhtila. Then, proceed to Kalaw - a small
hill station with numbers of old colonial style British built buildings.
Evening arrive at Kalaw. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kalaw.
Day 7 : Kalaw - Pindaya - Inle
After breakfast at the hotel, drive
to Pindaya - a small quiet town famous for its millions years old
caves deposited with thousands of pagodas during the past centuries.
Sightseeing Pindaya Cave, Traditional Shan papers making and Umbrella
making villages. Lunch at a restaurant in Pindaya. After lunch drive
to Lake Inle - the second biggest lake in Myanmar famous for its
unique leg-rowers. Dinner, and overnight in Nyaungshwe or Lake Inle.
Day 8 : Inle
After breakfast, visit to drive to
Inle Lake. After chieck-in hotel, sightseeing Lake Inle by boat.
Tour highlights include the visits to: Floating Market (available
to see on the market days only which is hold on every five days),
famous Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Inpawkhone Village - famous for its
silk weaving handlooms, Ngaphechaung Monastery - well known because
of jumping cats, traditional ways of fishing, and Floating Gardens.
Lunch at a floating restaurant. Dinner and overnight in Nyaungshwe.
Day 9 : Nyaung Shwe - Heho - Yangon
After breakfast, drive up to Taunggyi
Market where one can see the various hill-tribes come down for shopping
and selling fresh vegetables and all sorts of regional products.
Drive back to Heho airport for departure back to Yangon by flight.
Later in the afternoon, arrive at Yangon airport and transfer to
hotel. Be at leisure. Evening, take a walk along China Town before
farewell dinner and cultural show at Karaweik Palace - a famous
restaurant located on the Royal Lake built in the style of Royal
Barge used by Myanmar's old days Kings. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 10 : Yangon - Departure
After breakfast, visit Strand Jetty
to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon's River.
Then, visit Gems Mart, Bogyoke Market - formerly known as Scott
Market and National Museum.Lunch at a restraunt. In the evening,
transfer to airport for departure.
