Tour Overview:
The unique 6-day small group tour of one of the most ancient areas in Cambodia, this trip takes you from the gateway to Angkor, Siem Reap, to the beauty of the Pearl of the Orient, the capital --Phnom Penh.
You will visit the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire at Angkor Thom, and take in one of the most unique dance shows in the world, the Apsara Dance Show, then head to the jungle-encroached temple at Banteay Srei. Then travel to the stunning lake at Tonle Sap, where the leg-rowing fishermen give trips in their small boats, propelling you across the still waters to the floating villages. In the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh, you cxn take in the stunning sights of one of the most beautiful cities in Asia, exploring the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda.

Day 1 Welcome to Siem Reap!
Flight: International flight on your own arrangement or upon request
Welcome to Cambodia! Upon arrival, our guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to Hotel for check in. then rest are at your leisure.

Day 2 Angkor Thom Ancient Capital | Apsara Dancing Show

After breakfast at your hotel, you will take a full-day tour of Siem Reap's iconic landmarks. Your time will begin with a visit to Banteay Kdei, an ancient Buddhist temple built during the reign of Jayavarman VII. You will then proceed to Ta Prohm, the famous temple where trees grow from the ruins.
Your next stop will be the Angkor Thom complex, which includes the Victory Gate, Terrace of the Leper King, Royal Palace, Baphuon Temple, and Bayon Temple. You can choose 3 out of 5 temples to visit. Lastly, you will visit Preah Khan, an impressive temple dedicated to King Jayavarman VII's father.
You will enjoy an Apsara Dancing Show in the evening while having a buffet dinner. This traditional dance show features talented Cambodian performers in beautiful traditional costumes. You will be transported to the venue by a Tuk-Tuk, a fun and unique mode of transportation commonly used in Cambodia.

Day 3 Angkor Wat Sunrise, Banteay Srei, Tonle Sap Lake

Today's tour will start early to catch the magnificent sunrise over Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. After watching the sunrise, you will explore the temple and learn its history and significance.
Your next stop will be Banteay Samre, a temple located in the Angkor Archaeological Park. You will also visit a Sugar Palm Village to see how palm sugar is produced and then continue to Banteay Srei, a small but beautiful temple known for its intricate carvings.
In the afternoon, you will head to Tonle Sap Lake and visit the Kampong Phluk Floating Village on the lake’s edge. You will take a boat ride through the village and learn about the daily lives of the local people on the water.

Day 4 Transfer to Phnom Penh | Free of Leisure
Meals: B
Today, you will travel from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh by road. On the way, stop at Skuon market to try local delicacies, including fried spiders, a popular snack in Cambodia. After arriving in Phnom Penh, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 Phnom Penh Highlight

Today, you will explore the fascinating history and culture of Phnom Penh. You will start your tour by visiting the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a sobering reminder of the atrocities committed during the Khmer Rouge regime. You will be taken on a guided tour of the site, where you will learn about the events that took place there and hear stories from survivors.
Next, you will visit the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, a former prison that the Khmer Rouge used to detain, torture, and execute prisoners. You will learn about the conditions inside the prison and the brutal treatment of prisoners.
After that, you will head to the National Museum to explore Cambodia’s rich history and culture. The museum houses a collection of ancient Khmer art and artifacts, including sculptures, ceramics, and textiles. Your guide will explain the significance of the pieces and give you a deeper understanding of Cambodia's history.
Next, you will visit the Silver Pagoda within the Royal Palace complex. The pagoda is famous for its floor tiles, which are made of pure silver. You will also see the golden Buddha statue, which is adorned with over 9,000 diamonds. Your guide will explain the history and significance of the pagoda and its importance to Cambodian culture.
Finally, you will visit Wat Phnom, a Buddhist temple on a hilltop in the city’s heart. Lush gardens surround the temple and offer beautiful views of the city below. Your guide will explain the history and significance of the temple and its importance to the people of Phnom Penh.

Day 6 Farewell from Phnom Penh!

After breakfast, you will have some free time to explore the city at your leisure before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight. You may prefer to relax and soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant and fascinating city before bidding farewell to Cambodia.

At the moment, Indochina Tour will not use any budget airlines. Most seating is Economy Class unless otherwise stated. Business Class is available on request.

Tipping:
Tipping is not compulsory, but it is recommended to tip the guide and driver who go with you at the end of the trip. The amount is up to you. If you find he is good, friendly, helpful and you are satisfied with his performance, give him more. If you find his performance is bad, give him less, even nothing. But again it is recommended to give him some to encourage his job and like lucky money in the New Year. The tips may ranges from 5 – 10USD/ day for a guide and from 2 – 5USD/ day for driver.
