i think the harsh reviews are overstated. i've stayed at this hotel over 12 nights and never been disappointed. you can't beat the location across from the museum. some of the high rooms have a great view. reasonably clean nice room. dont expect a lot of channels on your tv. staff stern but efficient. once arrived dead tired at 4 a.m. and was promptly given a room. recommended.
“Massive rooms”

We are a family of four (two small kids) and we stayed one night at Thien Tung, having booked it about one week earlier direct with the hotel. We arrived from Manila and had the hotel organize a taxi pick up at airport for us which was convenient, but not really necessary. Taxis are plentiful and quite cheap in HCMC. The main thing that impressed us here was the size of our room. It was like two large rooms joined together and it actually had enough beds for all four of us.
