In Chiang Mai, temperatures can drop to 10-15°C from November to February, but it is warm during the daytime.
Southern Vietnam shares a similar climate to Thailand and Cambodia. The dry season from November to April is cool and sunny. Rain can be heavy from May to October. In central Vietnam, around Hue and Hoi An, the storms linger longer. From August until early December, the region can experience torrential rain and some flooding. North Vietnam has four seasons, with a brief winter. From August until October, the weather is warm and sunny. Hanoi doesn’t get very cold from December to March, but Sapa experiences the occasional snowfall.

The Poipet /Aranyprathet border is the main land border crossing between Thailand and Cambodia and part of popular overland routes between Bangkok and Siem Reap. Buses and taxis regularly travel the route, offering an immersive experience for travelers.
